There are natural ways to help fade dark marks and treat hyperpigmentation for dark skin. One way is to make your own DIY turmeric face mask. It’s super easy and more likely then not you already have these ingredients in your kitchen.
Turmeric Face Mask DIY
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 1 teaspoon of Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon of Aztec Clay
- 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt (greek preferably) because it is thick.
- 1 1/2 teaspoon of organic Apple Cider Vinegar
- 3 drops of lemon essential oil or 1/2 teaspoon of organic lemon juice
STEP ONE: MIX
Combine all of the ingredients together in a small bowl and mix them all together. Use a plastic or wooded spoon, DO NOT use a metal utensil it will deactivate to properties of the Aztec Clay.
STEP TWO: APPLY
Before you use the mask make sure your face is clean. Wash, Tone and dry your face. I like to use an absorbing oil before putting on my facial mask like Olive Oil. But you don’t have to do that, just make sure your face is nice and clean before applying the mask. This mask works best if you have a facial steamer it boost the properties and helps the ingredients in the mask seep deeper into your pores. The face steamer I like to use is from Amazon, https://amzn.to/2HR8UQ0 it is affordable and very effective.
STEP THREE: CHILL
You want to leave this mask on for 15-20 minutes in this time you want to take time for yourself, and take some steps for self care. Read a few pages of your favorite book, catch up on your favorite show, maybe even sit and meditate on how bomb your skin will look after the consistency of using this mask.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU USE THIS MASK?
You can use this mask between 1-2x a week. This mask is strong and so effective you don’t want to irritate your skin by using it often. Also, I want to put out a full disclaimer the turmeric can stain your skin and leave a yellow tint so you don’t want to leave it on too long or use it more than 1-2x a week.
