Febuary
February is my birthday month, so I’m giving you three options for this one. I’ve actually celebrated my birthday in both South Africa and Panama, so these picks are personal favorites.
📍 South Africa
Cape Town | Camps Bay | Stellenbosch
Best for: 🍷 Wine + Adventure + Beautiful Views
Weather: ☀️ Peak summer | ~65–85°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ Long lunches, ocean views & wine-country sunsets
Option 1: Capetown, South Africa
February is one of my favorite times to visit Cape Town. The weather is warm and dry, and the summer crowds begin to ease after the holiday season.
I love South Africa, and I actually celebrated my birthday here. If you go, don’t make the mistake of staying in just one area. Give yourself time to experience the different sides of Cape Town.
Camps Bay: Stay by the ocean, enjoy the beach, grab lunch with a view and watch the sunset behind the Twelve Apostles.
Downtown Cape Town: This is where you can experience the city’s restaurants, history, markets and iconic sights like Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront.
Stellenbosch: Slow things down with beautiful wine estates, tastings and long lunches surrounded by mountains and vineyards. February is also a great time to experience the Winelands during harvest season.
Where to stay:
Camps Bay: The Bay Hotel — Check Rates
A beachfront option with views of the Atlantic and Twelve Apostles.
Stellenbosch: The Selene Hotel is a beautiful option if you want to slow down and enjoy the Winelands.
A few experiences worth checking out:
Option 2: Panama
📍 Panama
Panama City | Playa Bonita
Best for: 🌴 All-Inclusive + Beach + Exploring
Weather: ☀️ Dry season | ~75–90°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ Pool days, tropical weather & zero-stress planning
I had such a great time celebrating my birthday in Panama. February falls during Panama’s dry season, so it’s a great month for warm weather, sunshine and exploring.
For an easy birthday getaway, stay at The Westin Playa Bonita Panama. The beachfront resort offers Pacific Ocean and rainforest views, multiple pools, restaurants, a spa and all-inclusive vacation packages.
You can spend your days at the resort or venture into Panama City to explore the Panama Canal, Casco Viejo and Biomuseo.
Where to stay: The Westin Playa Bonita Panama — Check Rates
A few experiences worth checking out:
Option 3: Las Vegas
📍 Las Vegas
The Strip | Downtown Las Vegas
Best for: 🥂 Food + Nightlife + Entertainment
Weather: ☀️ Mild winter | ~45–65°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ Dress up, go out & celebrate all night
February is one of my favorite times to do Vegas because you get all the fun without the intense summer heat. It’s much easier to spend the day exploring the Strip, grabbing lunch outside or walking between hotels without melting. If you want to Ski, you can take a day trip to Lee canyon and enjoy the slopes.
For your stay, I’d choose Vdara Hotel & Spa. It’s smoke free and casino free, making it a quieter option while still keeping you right in the middle of the action.
And getting around is easy!! The ARIA Express Tram connects Vdara with ARIA, Park MGM, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan and The Shops at Crystals.
Where to Stay: Vdara Hotel & Spa — Check Rates
Choose Vegas if your birthday mood is dinner, cocktails, shows, nightlife and getting dressed up with your friends.
March
📍 Aruba
Palm Beach | Oranjestad | Arikok National Park
Best for: 🏝️ Adventure + Beaches + Nightlife
Weather: ☀️ Dry season | ~76–87°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ Beach by day, cocktails & dancing by night
If you want a birthday where you can actually do a little bit of everything, put Aruba on your list. March brings warm, sunny and mostly dry weather, plus those refreshing Caribbean trade winds. It is peak season, though, so book early!!! Especially if your birthday falls around spring break.
Go off-road through Arikok National Park, swim in the Natural Pool, snorkel, dive, or spend the day at Baby Beach or Eagle Beach. You can also book a sunset catamaran, try parasailing or jet skiing, and explore colorful Oranjestad.
After Dark: Head to Palm Beach for beach bars, live music, casinos, cocktails and dancing. March brings plenty of energy, making it a fun month for a birthday getaway.
Where to stay: Radisson Blu Aruba
I like this as a birthday home base because you’re right at the end of the Palm Beach strip, close to restaurants, bars, shops and nightlife without being in the middle of all the noise. It’s also an all-suite property, so you get a little more space.
Birthday Dinner: For your birthday night, I’d make a reservation somewhere along Palm Beach so you can go straight from dinner to drinks and nightlife without having to travel far.
A few experiences worth checking out:
April
📍 Morocco
Casablanca | Rabat | Fes | Sahara | Marrakech
Best for: 🕌 Culture + Adventure + Luxury
Weather: ☀️ Spring | ~65–80°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ A road trip through Morocco, ending with a luxury night in Marrakech
I would make the trip a road trip through Morocco, starting in Casablanca, stopping in Rabat and Fes, then making your way through the mountains and into the Sahara Desert.
Spend a night in a desert camp among the dunes, watch the sunset, wake up for sunrise and take in a completely different side of Morocco before continuing on to Marrakech. Moroccan Tour offers multi-day routes that include these cities, the Sahara, desert camping and the journey into Marrakech.
My Pick: Save Marrakech for the end. After days of exploring, make your final night feel special with a luxury birthday dinner in Marrakech and celebrate the end of an unforgettable trip.
Option 2: Dominican Republic
Punta Cana
Best for: 🌴 All-Inclusive + Adventure
Weather: ☀️ Warm & tropical | ~79–88°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ Resort days, adrenaline-filled adventures & Caribbean nights
If you want a birthday trip that gives you both relaxation and adventure, Punta Cana is a great option. It reminds me of Aruba in that way. April brings plenty of sunshine, making it easy to split your time between the beach and exploring adventurous activities.
Where to stay: Hard Rock Punta Cana

Where to stay: Villa Bokeh

📍 Namibia

Best for: 🐘 Safari + Adventure + Epic Landscapes
Weather: ☀️ Dry season | ~65–75°F days, chilly nights
Birthday vibe: ✨ Desert sunsets, luxury lodges & unforgettable wildlife
Namibia is one of those trips that feels like another planet. Think massive sand dunes, incredible wildlife, wide open landscapes and some of the most beautiful sunsets you’ll ever see.
Full transparency: I did not plan this trip myself. Namibia is a massive country, and I personally wanted help navigating the different regions, stays and logistics.
Everything I did and everywhere I stayed was arranged by Lazilia Travels, a small Black-owned, Namibia-based travel curator specializing in group and private tours.
They handled the itinerary so I could simply enjoy the experience and I highly recommend looking into them if Namibia is on your list.

Don’t spend the whole trip at the resort! Climb Dunn’s River Falls, go bamboo rafting on the Martha Brae, zipline through the rainforest, explore the Blue Mountains, snorkel, horseback ride along the beach or spend an evening watching the sunset in Negril.

August
📍 France
Paris | Nice | Cannes | Saint-Tropez
Best for: 🥐 Euro Summer + Romance + Beach
Weather: ☀️ Peak summer | ~70–85°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ Parisian mornings, Riviera afternoons & late nights
August is perfect for a Euro summer birthday. Start in Paris, then make your way south to the French Riviera for beautiful beaches, coastal towns, long lunches and glamorous nights. And the best part? You can easily add another European destination to the trip while you’re there.
I have a love/hate relationship with Paris. I’ve been twice, and honestly…I still don’t completely get the hype. Maybe I need to go a third time!
That said, if you’ve never been, I absolutely think Paris is worth experiencing. It’s beautiful, romantic and iconic, and there’s something special about simply walking through the city, grabbing a pastry and taking it all in.

September
📍 The Netherlands
Amsterdam | Rotterdam | Utrecht
Best for: 🚲 European Summer + Culture + City Hopping
Weather: 🍂 Early fall | ~55–70°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ Canal views, cute cafés & easy European getaways.
September is such a good time for a European trip because you can base yourself in Amsterdam and easily add another country to your itinerary. Amsterdam Centraal is right in the city center and connects to international trains, making it easy to hop over to Belgium, France, Germany or even London by train.
I wouldn’t spend your entire trip in Amsterdam. Use it as your home base and add a few days somewhere like Brussels, Paris or Cologne. This is exactly what I do when I visit Amsterdam.

October
📍 Egypt
Cairo | Luxor | Aswan | Nile River
Best for: 🐪 History + Luxury + Adventure
Weather: ☀️ Cooler fall season | ~70–90°F
Birthday vibe: ✨ Ancient wonders, Nile sunsets & unforgettable experiences.
I’d personally recommend combining Cairo + Luxor + Alexandria rather than spending the entire trip in Cairo. You get the famous landmarks, ancient temples, the Nile and a more complete experience of Egypt.
I personally did this trip with a guide, and I’m glad I did. They helped coordinate my accommodations, transportation, activities and overall itinerary, which made it much easier to see multiple parts of the country without having to figure out all of the logistics myself.
If you’re visiting Egypt for the first time, I would definitely consider working with a knowledgeable guide or tour company.
The guide I used does not have a website. Contact him on Instagram and let him know Diamond sent you! 🙂

Antigua & Barbuda
St. John’s | English Harbour | Barbuda
Best for: Beaches + Luxury + Relaxation
Weather: Dry season | ~75–83°F
Birthday vibe: Turquoise water, island hopping & barefoot luxury
December is the perfect time to trade cold weather for Caribbean sunshine. Antigua is known for its 365 beaches, so you could easily spend your days moving from one beautiful stretch of sand to another, with plenty of time for snorkeling, sailing and long lunches in between.
Don’t feel like you have to stay at the resort the entire trip. Rent a car or book transportation and explore the island.Antigua is small enough to see a lot of it, and some of the best beaches and viewpoints are outside the main resort areas.
