Acne is a pain in the a** it steals your confidence, scars your face, and never seems to go away! A few years ago I started to get cystic and hormonal acne a side effect of having Crohn’s disease. My immune system wasn’t treating my body right which in turn began to show in my skin. It was horrible and I didn’t know what to do. There was no medication, cream, or prescribed face wash that seemed to help. So I took it upon myself to try a routine. Through trial and error with different products along with a healthy diet, I found what worked best for my skin. With consistency, it took 2 weeks for me to see a difference in my skin moving in the right direction and about 6 months for it to completely clear. There is no quick fix when it comes to acne. If you want to see real results it will take time and patience. African Black Soap: Has Antibacterial Properties. It’s Safe To Use For All Skin Types. It Is A Great Natural Moisturizer For The Skin and it fights Acne!! What else can you ask for from this holy grail product? WARNING!! It is very strong and can be harsh on the skin. I would advise before using this product on your entire face to try it out on a small area to test if you have any type of sensitivity.
Jamaican Black Castor Oil: HOLY GRAIL! My family is from the Caribbean and we use this oil for everything! Skin, Hair, Eczema you name it. The omega fatty acids in Jamaican black castor oil works so well for acne. Because of its anti-bacterial and properties it helps aid in killing bacteria which helps reduce inflammation in the skin.
Facial Brush: Not a necessity but it helped me so much in getting deep into my pores and cleaning all the dirt to deep for just washing my face with my hands. (I use Clarisonic)
Sunflower Seed Oil: Sunflower oil is rich in vitamins A, C, D, and E making it AWESOME for treating acne. The sunflower seed oil contains vitamins and fatty acids that act as antioxidants the help regenerate new skin cells and get rid of acne-causing bacteria.
Indian Aztec Clay mixed with Apple Cider Vinegar: I honestly believe this helped my skin the MOST! It helps to remove dirt and impurities from the pores of the skin. This clay is beneficial for helping remove all that nasty bacteria that is festering in the skin that your acne is feeding on! I use this 2x a week even now that my acne seems to be gone.
