Matthew and I try to make each birthday special for each other, each year we surprise each other with a birthday trip or mini vacation. The rona came and completely changed our travel plans this year, but one thing I knew for sure was that Matt wanted to go camping. If he had it his way we would be taking a shower in the river and taking a piss in a bucket somewhere in the middle of the everglades. Luckily I was planning this trip to Oaks Farm and he had no idea.
We live in Florida. I searched high and low for a quality glamping experience that I would feel comfortable in and Matthew will feel like he was camping for the night. I stumbled upon Enchanted Oaks and it completely surpassed my expectations. The place is picture perfect.
Enchanted oaks farm and lake house is a unique 8 acre farm located in Ocala, FL. It is used for nature retreats, glamping as well as a wedding venue. It is the ideal place for couples, families with kids, group trips even a solo vacation. This place is truly enchanted, each section of the farm has it’s own magic that you will fall in love with. Including the animals the farm has two mini horses, a donkey and a kangaroo, YES I said a kangaroo.
If you are looking for a one of a kind glamping experience this is the place you want to come to. There are different tiny cabins, a farm house with multiple bedrooms, a mini RV and a tree house on the grounds. There are plenty of different locations to choose from and each cabin has it’s own special touch. Each tiny cabin has a personal fire pit and seating area there is also a lounging area on the property with 3 grills so you can grill lunch or dinner while relaxing under the cabanas and enjoying nature. No matter what cabin you choose to stay in you will have a unique experience. The owners Cassie and her husband are very welcoming and sweet, they make sure you have everything you need to feel at home.
Mini RV perfect for a solo traveler
There’s one cabin I was two seconds away from booking, but I considered the rain and thought against it. I think this cabin will be perfect for couples wanting a mini getaway during the winter months. This unit is located right on the lake and will take your breath away.
I took a second to go over and sneak a few photos of the inside of this cabin. Matt and I plan on coming back to stay in this unit when the rain season ends and it’s starting to get chilly outside.
I wanted Matt to have a birthday full of adventure, the location of the farm is perfect for those wanting a mini weekend getaway to have some fun. Enchanted oaks farm & lake house is located 25-35 minutes away from a ton of different activities like zip lining, biking thorough the national park, kayaking, and rainbow springs park just to name a few. Bring your boo, a group of friends or even travel alone. If you’ve ever wanted the camping experience and wanted to start by dipping your toe to see if you would like this is the place for you.
